Hi, Looking for the best feeders for a leopard Gecko beyond crickets. My friend has two females and she was curious if she rceived the correct info. She feeds them once a day and about 15 crickets max total not each. I have a beardie and this seems to little off. My beardie eats 3 times a day and as much as he wants in a ten minute period still. They are approximately 3 months old. She was told that they can eat mealworms but she needed to remove the heads as the worms can continue to bite a bit in the stomach. She doesn't want to do this though. She obtained this info from the reps at Pet Depot she bought them from. So what types of feeders can she feed and how often should she be feeding? :dontknow:
Thanks,
Monica

if they are bigger crickets that sounds about right. mealworms are fine and you dont have to remove the heads. ours at that age blow through about 15-20 mealies a day, we feed once a day. the occasional wax worm is ok, roaches are good, phoenix worms, small supers. we pretty much just feed until they stop eating, it never takes them ten minutes to get full. we also leave a dish of worms in the cage at all times, sometimes theyll eat them sometimes not. once theyre older we start feeding every other day, but we still leave a dish in at all times in case they get a craving. along with the calc dish in the tank we do dust the worms still

cool.

thinkin about getting a leo.

i need one warm hide, one cool hide, and one humid hide (on the warm side, right?) a UTH (85-90 degrees F in the warm hide) all in a 20 gal long. i'll keep some mealies or dubia in a corner and some pure calcium (no d3) in another corner. i'll dust my feeders with calcium with d3 daily and dust with vitamins once a month... seem about right? :study:

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
