feeder worms?

So I've had my experience with undigested phoenix worms but i wa wondering if other worms do the same thing? for example i wanted to try out some silk or horn worms because i hear beardies really like those but i dont want them to still be alive when they come back out like the phoenix worms.

I've heard if you use a needle to penetrate the outer shell, the beardie can digest it better. (Because it can get to the inside of the worm) Just an idea

I believe silks should be just fine. My dragon loves silks

Yeah soft worms like silks and hornworms are fine, they will have more liquid poo though so don't worry if it happens, just means they are well hydrated.

How do you feed the worms? Do you put a bunch in a pile for him to devour? If so, may be the problem. There are no piles of food in the wild. My solution was to feed slower and less. What clued me in was his poop pushing him in the opposite direction. I make ours chase a couple pieces of food at a time. He stops chasing, he's done.

I had my experience with putting all his food in while I go take care of other things. Doesn't work. They gobble it all up in a hurry and look for a basking spot.
