Hi everyone - my beardie is now large enough (16 inches) to eat super worms. I usually gave him crickets and dubias but due to where I am at that is now an issue. Super Worms are easier to get. For about two weeks he has been eating them as a staple combined with greens (mix).

He has been acting normal, eating normally and is not grumpy or upset. He handles just fine and is sociable. However I noticed a huge change in his stool patterns. Before he would have medium to watery dark stool with little urate (white) every day or two. Lately he has now only been using the bathroom once every 2 or so days. It is almost all urate (white) with little dark. Occasionally a tiny super worm will pass whole.

Does anyone have any advice on this? Is this a bad sign, could be be sick or impacted? I am very paranoid to changes with him.

Thanks

Supers are a very poor insect to use a staple feeder insect.

Very poor Ca/P , high fat , and very hard to digest exoskeleton.

They are only suitable to be used as treats , my gang are lucky if the get two, maybe twice a week.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
