I sent a fecal sample to a person for testing, the sample and mailing by priority mail was done on 10/19. I never received a response so I emailed on 10/26 because the post office showed delivery on 10/21. The person said they have been having mail trouble and they'd check on it. I emailed again today and they said it was finally received and would run the test this afternoon. I questioned the validity after so many days but she said most testing is for pinworms and coccidia and the test would still be valid.
I'm out of work and I hesitate to spend another $6-$7 dollars to priority ship another sample to her or someone else if it isn't necessary. So many websites stress that it needs to be a "fresh" sample. What do you think?
