Some background:
I got Ziggy in January of 2018- i was told he was around 12 weeks making in around 9-10 months now. He was 20g when i got him he was 439g yesterday and a little over 18 inches. In the past month or so he has slowed down. Seemed more lethargic didn't want to eat as much, i thought it was that he was getting older. He also has had some issues recently with shedding his tail aka it was taking a really long time and the shed was really thick. I keep very close track of his weight, poops, how much he eats, how often i bath him etc. etc. HE is definitely a HE....a few months back he got real friendly with his bed....which makes me think he many be older than i know.
He is in a 40g breeder with green reptile carpet
He has a 36 inch Zoo Med 26062 Reptisun 10.0 T5-Ho Uvb 39W Fluorescent Lamp on top of his tank (is outside his screen which is not a tight mesh..been thinking about finding a way to mount it inside.
His basking spot is between 100-105
Cool side is between 85-90
He gets a bath every two or three days
He eats dubia roaches as his main live feeder (dusted m-f with calcium with D3 and Saturday with multivitamin)
Lately he has been eating 5-10 every other day but has refused them for the past 4 days :'(
He did eat crickets for the first 5 months with me
I do not feed anything bigger than the space between his eyes
He poops every three days or so, if he does not i get him to swim in the bath and he will go soon after--- if this does not work i will give some prune baby food
if he does not want to drink for me i will give him butternut squash baby food
His salad consists of mustard or collard greens, Butternut squash, yellow squash, occasional fruits (blueberries, watermelon, strawberries, raspberries etc.), and occasionally a red or yellow pepper
He does not eat the salad usually on his own but i can hand feed him some usually in the morning
I hope i included everything that is important...please help me prepare for his meds! I also know i probably need to get some probiotics in anticipation---please let me know what probiotics i need and where to buy!
One last note- i live in a small college town so i am not sure how much i trust this vet which is why i really need your help!
Thank you so much!
