Fecal Matter disappearing

Today after I got back from work I noticed my beardie (M) had feces on him. It's not unusual for him to take a dump and then walk through it like it's nothing. I started to look for the pile, but realized there was no poo for me to clean up, I looked at all his furniture and lifted up his carpet but found nothing. Does anyone know what might've happened?

I wondered that too, but he had no smudges or anything on his mouth, and I couldn't find anything that looked like the remnants of a poo pile. It's been a couple of days and he seems fine, but it's still weird
