Fake Rock Structure..Will this work??

Okay so I am trying to figure out the supplies for the fake rock structures and the only polystyrene/styrofoam I can find in a large sheet for a decent price in my area is the link below. I was wondering if the grout will properly adhere to this? That looks about the same thing I used and it went fine. There's always a risk of it chipping, but if you put a few thin layers(think 2-3) that are more paint like in consistency, and two or three thicker layers(proper grout consistency) plus your sealer, it should work fine. That's what I did and tried to lightly pull off the grout like I would if I was cleaning it/a dragon's claws was poking at it and had no peeling/chipping.

Thank you.... so the idea is that more is better. lol super thin coats working up to thicker coats. I appreciate your feedback
