Fake laying?

Has anyone had anything like this? One of my females, that is housed in a cage for herself since baby and has never been mated, started to go crazy in her tank yesterday, scratching and stuff, so i put her in the laying bin this morning. She then started to scratch and dig there and finally started the hole reachin the bottom, where she stood a good time, couple hours. Then she came out of it and cover it well. So i thought that the laying was done, but i didn´t notice her anything thinner than before, i even wheighted her (is that the word?) and she had not lost a gram. And no eggs where found in the bin. She is still in the laying bin but could it be that she did all the protocol of laying w/o doing it for real? she´s active and in good shape as ever. I will leave her in the laying bin for a few days more just in case but i´m curious to know if someone have gone through this, a female making all the laying stuff but not laying after all. And if she is to lay should i take her to her tank and repeat everythin the next morning or should i leave her in the bin to sleep there?

I haven't had experience with this yet myself but, I have heard of dragons taking a couple to a few times to finally lay their clutch.

Thanks! I hadn´t had experience before either with infertiles, just a cople fertile clutches but they were my first, though i read everything and asked lots or q´s but till you live it first hand it´s all theory, practice i´m starting to learn is a complete diff thing
