We have had Faf for about 9 months. We suspect he is 2-3 yrs old, but we don't know for sure. He used to eat LOADS of veggies- mustard greens, squash of all kinds, peppers, the occasional raspberry or other fruit slivered in there. Over the winter, he did a semi-brumation thing---his appetite cut back a lot, he woke up late and went to bed early. Well, he came back to life in March and though he's more awake and active, his eating hasn't quite caught up. He eats his insects, yes, but no veggies to speak of. I've been "tricking" him by putting the worms/roaches on the veggies...that worked for a little while (and he still only got a piece or two). The jig is up now though. If I put the insects on the veggies, he either waits until they come up to the surface enough to where he won't have to touch the vile weeds, or he just won't eat.
I've tried the paper towel trick...no luck.
I've tried putting a worm with a piece of veggie in the tongs to hand feed...not buying it.
I've tried other veggies, chard, herbs, even carrots...not having it.
Ive tried dicing, slicing, slivering, mincing...hell to the naw.

Sorry, phone went funny...
He's pooping regularly and the poops are normal. Temps are steady as ever. Just got a new reptisun 10.0 in April. Like I said, still active, basking like normal, sleeping like a log.
Any suggestions are welcome! This boy is an enigma, wrapped in a puzzle.
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried putting fragant & colorful fruit in there?

I put mango in my Fred's dish, and she ate her greens.

Here's a good page on good veggies/fruits: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html

Test it out by putting just some fragant or colorful fruit in a bowl and see if he eats that, then after a while try putting that certain fruit on a salad.

Remember: Vaterity is key!

I've tried fruit on the other greens. I haven't tried just fruit on it's own though. Yeah, I've tried watermelon, raspberries, pear and apple slivers, plum...those aren't working. I'll try some mango!
I've had that food list printed out and on my fridge since day 1! :)

Oh geez! Me too!

Mustashio used to eat 2 bowls full of vegi's when he was little, then just like yours, had a semibrumation thing over the winter, woke up and hasn't touched a vegi since! Tashi is now 16months and has been on his UNAUTHORIZED hiatus from vegis for about 6-7 months! I still fill his bowl every day. Usually mix of collard and endive with grated butternut squash (he used to pick that out of the salad!) and occasional red pepper and purple cabbage. It is a beautiful colorful salad but no luck.

I've tried everything you have tried, even a vibrating dish...NOTHING! I have also tried the fragrant route, with basil, mint, parsley etc. No luck. I get so worried, that occasionally I will give him baby food peas, squash etc. He seems to like the peas, but I don't know if that is any better really. He isn't much of a fruit dragon, but I will try the mango too. Its probably about the only thing I havent tried. Also, I think I will try just putting fruit in there without any greens.

Crazy dragons!! They are worse than kids when it comes to eating their vegi's!! Here's a pic when he was younger eating his vegis.

Well, I tried mango, and other fruits by itself, to no avail. I did see him eat a tiny bit of butternut squash the other day. The dude is just on strike. I posted this on another thread, but I think I'm going to try this stuff at petco called "salad dressing" for beardies. I would not normally buy this processed stuff, but if a little sprinkled on a healthy salad gets him back on greens...I will try it.
I may give the whole "no insects" thing a try. Until I can't stand it and he probably wins. :/ He's 635g, so I don't think he's going to wither away.

Still not eating greens and veggies and I haven't given him any insects since I posted last. He has lost 7g. Time to stop? How much is too much? Blerg. This is stressful.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
