Eye Problems

I just got a new baby bearded dragon He/she is a hypo pastel beardie. Ill pretend he/she is a boy for now
I just brought him home and put him in the tank. After watching him, I noticed his right eye is closing for a few seconds every now and then. His eyes look clear and normal. Why is this happening? I am using a Repti Sun 10.0 and a zoo med 150watt bulb. Any ideas?

Calvin, is that reptisun 10.0 a Coil or Compact or a Tube ?

The only thing I can think of, if there isn't an irritant then this is normal. I have seen mine do this, and since there aren't any irritants around, I didn't even think twice. So, normal, not to worry

what substrate do you have on the bottom of his cage (sand-a no no, walnut-another no, carpet, tile?)

Also, i was taking a picture of my bearded dragon and i accidently forgot to turn off flash and it flashed at my dragon. Is that ok? He seems fine but I was just a little freaked :?

Hello,

The basking light, is it a bright white light or a colored bulb like a red basking lamp?
They will intermittently close their eyes from time to time. How close do you have the Reptisun 10 tube to him, & is it placed directly beside the basking light?

It is a bright white light and the Repti Sun can get about 10 inches to him

He's doing good Been eating alot of crickets and eating some veggies. Has stress marks though, I got him 3 days ago so I think he's still acclimating. What do you think about the stress marks?

Great that he is actually eating for you. The "stress" marks will go away. You have only had him for 3 days, so, no worries! He will adjust for you soon.
