Eye gunk

Hello I got 2 new bearded dragons in June and there are doing awesome but I have a problem that just started with the girl dragon her right eye was closed an had a little bit of clear gunk in it I soaked her and her eye was ok then a little later in the day it came back again so I was puttin some sterial saline solution on the eye n the morning and it would help the eye gunk and keep it moist but when I come home from work it is shut again with the stuff. She is eating like crazy still and is very active but I don't know what it is or of I could do anything else for it it isn't yellow or anything like that do idk if it is an infection or what any ideas thank you. I also separated the other dragon just in case an he still is good n has no signs of anything thank you

It is great that you separated them,,you need to keep it that way, bearding should not be housed together. What type of substrate do you use? What type of lighting do you have..uvb??

If you keep her on sand, she could have gotten a piece in her eye. Keep flushing it with saline solution. Is there a reptile vet you could see? I've also read that RAW honey can be diluted a bit, then put on the eye to help with infection. If she is on sand, it should really be removed. I hope this helps!

Hello sorry I haven't replied I have her on lanolium an yes the 10.0 repti sun or whatever it is lol I have even using the solution but still nothing and soaking her regularly. It opens for a while and then gets shut again she is still eating like crazy and is very active it still just clear gunk though :/

Have you considered using the raw honey?

I was thinking about it but I just wasn't really sure on how to do it like just mix it with water and then leave it on her eye

Yes. Use raw, unpasturized honey. Dilute it with a bit of warm water to make it spreadable, and use a q-tip to apply. Good luck!
