Eye Bulging!!

I thought it would be fun to post pics of our beardies doing, possibly the most creepiest thing ever.. eye bulging.

i got the idea when i saw roo do it and thought why not have a competition of the best eye bulger?

i dont currently have a pic cuz he saw me move and he stopped but i will try!

what do you guys think?

LOL, it would be hilarious (and creepy) indeed. However, I can't imagine I'd ever have a camera ready in time, it happens so seldom and so quickly! That said, her head IS getting dull and it's getting near the time. I'll leave the camera by the viv and see if I can catch it! :mrgreen:

Actually, there is a video in one of the forums, more than likely this one. It was done by Dawn(Blondie098) of her beardie Crash "eye bulging". Honestly, you have to be pretty quick with a camera to get a good shot of "eye bulging". Good Luck with that!

Here are a couple of Jasper doing his eyebulging. He would do one eye and then the other - almost never both at once. Someone here called it "eye pingpong" which described it perfectly!

Wow! i have never seen Gizmo do this!

On a side note, i have seen a horned dragon do this, also from australia, it bulges its eyes and spits blood from them to startle a predator! lol completly unrelated but im full of useless tidbits and its not very often you can talk about eye bulging of lizards! :lol:

i found out that eye bulging is the dragon trying to get shedded skin of there eye.......

i notice mine bulging 2 minutes ago and there was skin on each eye just hanging and i help get both side of the top of there eye..

Just be very careful when pulling on loose skin that it is ready to come off, so as not to damage new scales!

i was just rubing/sliding my finger across his eye both sides came off easy
