So I have been informed that I can under NO circumstances take my beardie with me abroad. Even with veterinary documents to verify his good health and the whole nine, they have refused to let me take him.

In the airlines pet policies, it very clearly states any SMALL DOMESTIC ANIMAL under 7lbs can travel with care giver.

Now my question is how and why my five month old beardie doesnt meet those requirements.

Im not sure what i am going to do...I dont have anyone i can trust to leave him with. Im in such a bad position here

If they could at least explain to me why my little guy is being so excluded and discriminated against, I would love to see things from their perspective but they wont even allow me that much. I have half a mind to cancel my flight with them.
Problem is im being held by my ***** to go without fail

Im a loong ways away...Toronto, Canada.
Im just going to do my best to help my mother along in liking him. Hes squemish of his food (namely the crickets and worms) that shes almost petrified to take care of him.

You'd figure that in such hard financial times airlines would do a little more for their customers. I just cant get my head around the issue of why it is a little helpless & harmless little lizard could pose such a problem in flight.

Of all the requests someone could make...a silent little animal on someones lap too much to ask?

Maybe it's more of a customs problem than an airline problem. Anyway, I know we have a few members in Toronto - check the Canada forum. Maybe one of them could help you out? It's all I can think of.

Have you asked them why he doesnt qualify?

I hope you get something sorted out soon!!!

The best they've been able to explain to me why hes not suitable to fly is because hes a "tropical animal" What that has to do with anything is beyond me.

Last time i checked small domestic meant a pretty wide variety of things. The only clear exclusions clearly stated was that birds and other FOWL arent allowed.
This is all wayy beyond my boundaries of patience.

Im pretty sure if i were a celebrity id be able to bring anything i wanted without any problems

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
