Extremely aggrivated!

I ordered 200 turkistan roaches from carolina pet supply on Monday the 1st. They JUST let me know that all their roaches are DEAD. Mojo will barely touch the crickets I have and I can not get anything else until next week! I am so agrivated and frustrated and just plain angry! You should not sell something you do not have in stock and now poor Mojo has to wait even longer to get some kind of food! I am just ARG!!! Yes I have crix, yes I will keep offering them but they are beginning to die off (found 3 this am). Who knows how long the refund will take too. They should have contacted me as soon as they knew they would not have them. Waiting until it was too late for me to order more was just wrong. And then they ask me to WAIT til they get more! The nerve!

Ok, so since I do not have feeders coming what do I do? Scramble eggs plain and add them to the salad? chicken baby food? I do not know how long it will take for me to get feeders Mojo will eat

Check around your area and see if there are any pet stores that carry feeders. If you're lucky there might even be a store that specialized in reptiles. Otherwise I think the baby food might be your best bet.

In my area my options are crix or mealworms thats it. And until I get the refund I am broke This order was supposed to start a colony for me. Good thing I picked up some baby food for emergencies. sigh, thank you!

i heard the turkistan roaches are better then dubia. is that true? if they are is carolina pet supply a good place to buy them since what they've done to you?

I heard back from them and they were very appologetic. Apparently they get theirs from a company that raises them and do not raise their own. Not only was their shipment late but totally dead and they did not know until they arrived yesterday a couple hours before they got my message. I plan to try again in October when its for sure cooler. So I plan to give them another chance. For now as soon as I get the refund (which they started) I plan to get Dubias from a member here. I have posted once a week seeking local feeders on my CL but heard nothing. Not even tips that there might be some at the reptile shows held around here. I would love to have my own colony of dubia and the turkistans but its tricky getting started lol. Sigh, for now I will do my best to keep Mojo happy. I gave her a bigger than usual salad today and she gobbled it a lot. I gave her yellow squash and zuchinni finely shredded along with her greens. I think she mostly ate around the new stuff but if I am lucky she ate some of them too. I will go post on my Cl again who knows maybe I will get lucky.
