Exo-terra light bracket

I purchased this bracket not even a month ago. This morning I woke up and found the fixture had come unglued (the adhesive came off) and the light had fell into the tank! I am livid! Just wanted to let others know to beware of this product.

Contact their customer support - I found them pretty helpful when the light clips for my light fixture broke. They sent out replacement right away.

Thank you! I contacted them, but I don't think I will use it again. I don't want to take a chance of my babies getting hurt.

Oh that's terrible. Thank goodness none of your babies got her. Must have scared them (and you) though.

I have used this one for many years and never had any issues. Thought you might want to check it out.

It scared me! Thank goodness Spyro didn't get burned. His basking light didn't shatter, which I am so thankful for! The bulb did go out though. I had to replace the fixture and bulb today. I also purchased the stands like the one you posted. I wonder how many other people have had this same issue?

What a horrible scare. Was Spyro hiding for a while? That is amazing that the basking light didn't shatter. I'm glad you were able to find this other one. It does make you wonder how many other owners have run into that problem.

Spyro kept looking up where his basking light was. He went without one for a few hours while I went to get replacements. He looked quite happy when his new one was set up and turned on. I'll treat him to extra time outside tomorrow.

Bet he is much happier now. I'm so glad he was ok.
