Hey everyone! I bet you hear this a lot but OMG!! I'm so excited for my first clutch! After raising, caring and studying these critters for a couple years now, it's finally gonna happen! My female is getting up to breeding weight and both her and her mate have been showing obvious signs of wanting to breed.

I've grown a whole garden of organic greens for them along with raising dubia roaches, superworms, mealworms and mice so I know the babies will be colorful and healthy like their mom and dad.

I'll provide some pictures of the (hopefully) soon to be mom and dad!!

GALILEO (MALE): Extreme orange/red translucent with beautiful blue side bars!!

He's a spunky boy and there hasn't been a single female that he hasn't wanted to breed from my collection...he's gonna be a happy father!!

His pattern is stunning! I must have made a great choice choosing this big boy. :)

Here are some close up pics of his patterns and his transparent scales.

And I also thought it'd be fun to throw in this picture of him as a juvie!! (One of my fave pics) :p

I don't have many pictures of my female breeder yet, I just recently purchased her from Showtime Dragons. Thanks, Chris!!!! (If you've been to his site you've probably seen her before) She's the sweetest little girl I've ever had.
PANDORA (FEMALE): Translucent, her colors vary with temps and moods. :p

Here's a couple pics of her just after she arrived and got warmed up...she turned a smooth peach shade with slight traces of lime green on her beard and back.

And here is a picture of Galileo and Pandora together...I think Gal was in the middle of a head bobbing session in this pic. Pandora's colors don't show very well because Gal stirred up some of the sand and got her a bit dirty!! You can still see her peach tone though. :)

Sorry for going so pic-happy but I just had to show how excited I am! Haha! Thanks for looking, everyone and I hope you liked the pics!

I'm not sure if I'll be selling and shipping my dragons after they're hatched, I'll decide all in good time! Stay tuned for pictures of the eggs! :D

Very cute poopers!! Just a thought, you said you raised mealworms and mice? I would not feed them to neither the baby's or the adults!! Good luck and we will be waiting on those pictures!!

On the mealworm topic, the dragons don't like em and I've read they're too hard for dragons, I feed them to our pacman frogs they love em. ;)

We raise our mice to feed pinkies to our females after they lay their eggs and need the protein and/or need to get back to breeding weight, we don't exceed over 2 pinkies a week for our girls (parents used to breed normals to sell to the local pet stores :( ) Seems cruel to feed them baby mice but they love em and they make our girls super happy.

We also adopted a few local full grown males that were sick with MBD as juvies and were still recovering...they lost a lot of weight so they loved the pinkies. They're now healthy and I found two a forever home after caring for them for just about 2 years! :D

...We also have savannahs and that's where 50% of the population of our mice go, the rest I sell to my favorite local pet store or friends that have large reptiles.

So no beardie should have them ever?
My dragon is 9-10 months old and 16 inches. I tried superworms and it seemed hard for him to eat, so I tried giant mealworms thinking he was big enough to digest them fine now...
He loves the giant mealworms
Ahhh :?

thats a question for the feeders section but short and sweet mealworms have little to no nutritional value, superworms are very high in protein.

and to the OP have they mated yet? or are you going to wait until after they brumate (if they brumate)

My female is hopefully carrying eggs, she's looking like she's gaining weight but she hasn't had much of an appetite... It'll be some time before the babies hatch and are big enough for shipping. I'll add you and keep you updated on how it goes. Thanks.

Okay, well I can't get him to eat the supers. As long as the giant meal worms won't impact him, I'm okay. I'm only giving him the meal worms occasionally. Like a couple a week, if that.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
