I just joined this site and am in the process of ordering my first beardie through fire and ice dragons. After reading up on some other posts I am now a bit concerned. People seem to say that they would not order from fire and ice but I can't seem to find out why. I have spoken with Terri and she was very nice and answered all my questions that I had. I couldn't find any posts stating the dragons were unhealthy or not docile, beautiful, dragons so...what's all the hubbub about? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Concerned parent of a citrus male to-be-named-later :)

Do you have a link to their website?

How are you going to get a lizard from them? Like in a UPS box or what? I would be scared of it dieing in transit from lack of heat.

look for a local dealer on perhaps craigslist facebook instagram maybe even twitter? most likely they will be at lower price because its local and you wouldnt have to pay for shipping and worry about it making through. i did not order any dragons online so i do not know for sure.. good luck

No experience with them but I got my boy from a breeder online and he was shipped here to fairbanks, Alaska overnight and arrived safe and warm. As long as you ask questions and get pictures of your baby I dont see too much of a problem. Maybe try googling reviews for them or looking on fauna classifieds for info on them.

Castlefox, most breeders will not ship if temperatures are too low and they have 72 hour heat packs that keep the insulated boxes very warm for the overnight journey.

I have never had experience shipping a dragon but i do have some experience with this with snakes...

I haven't heard anything bad about fire and ice. you definitely want to order from the closest (most reputable closest of course) breeder that you can find. I am suprised there isn't a breeder in Alaska! seems like you could be pretty profitable up there!

Just make sure they include a heat pack in there for you and definitely pay for the overnight delivery.

I rescued mine today from Craig's list. Owner moving out of state. $80 and I got everything she had for him. The most away to get better stuff but still. The dragons look beautiful on websites but I'd be afraid of the stress the beardie would be under after traveling like that.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
