So I just discovered the excavator substrate by zoo med. I wondered if it is safe for dragons? I like my viv to look as natural as possible, and I'm gonna build a new one this summer for him, wanted a more natural look substrate. Any advice?

It seems like it would take a long time to dry enough to be ok humidity-wise for a dragon. And I would worry about it getting crumbly. :/ Also, since it's not sealed, I bet it's a PITA to clean poop off off! I think it's a cool idea, but it just doesn't seem like it's a healthy idea long term.

If you want something natural looking, use rock or tile. I like a natural look as well, here is what my flooring looked like while I was working on it:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
