I want to play with my beardie, but every time I tale him out of his cage he poops. On me, my couch, the floor, wherever he happens to be. He doesn't seem scared or stressed -- he runs around, charges my cats, seems to like exploring. Then comes the mess! Is this normal? Also, his poop is pretty runny, a big pile not a log. He eats mostly crickets with some silkworms, reptiworms, greens (usually collards or mustard) and squash...

That's actually a good thing..... if you can take him out, put him in a sterilite plastic tub with paper towels for a few minutes, let him have a b.m, then take him out to play !

My first beardie did this. The exercise that he gets from exploring helps him poop. Maybe let him run around a bit then put him back to poop, then take him out again. Some people have theirs trained to go in their baths. Mine goes in his bath and behind his basking log now, haven't had an accident on the floor or table in awhile!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
