This substrate is called Granite Gulch and it is by T-Rex.
Has anyone ever heard of it, or used it? I just traded my old stuff out for this as my dragon became impacted, but I'm still worried because it is a sand-type substrate. I actually only have it in half the cage, the other half is reptile carpet. That is what the vet recommended.
Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what that is. If it were me, I wouldn't use ANY loose substrate regardless of what vets tell me. I use tiles at the bottom of my tanks. They're very cheap and super easy to clean.

If your beardie already had an issue whether it was do to the lose substrate or not I wouldn't temp fate with anymore loose substrate.

I just don't understand WHY you'd want to use a loose substrate, especially if your dragon was already impacted from another loose kind.

Tiles, non-adhesive shelf liner, paper towels, etc are perhaps the best and non-risk forms out there. WHY take a chance? Not to mention the cleaning benefits of these!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
