Essential oil diffusers around my bearded dragon!!!

Hey, I just wanted to know if essential oils would be dangerous being misted in the same room as my bearded dragon. I got it for Christmas and have not used it yet because of this question. Their all natural and wouldn't be spritzing right next to his cage but it would be in the same room? Any thoughts?!

I'm thinking if its safe for humans its probably safe for the dragon. Obviously as you stated, make sure it isn't sprayed anywhere near the tank or food items.
Can't be 100% certain its safe without knowing what's in it or if your dragon would be sensitive to any of it.

I have clary sage, plumeria, garden Rose, lily, lavender, jasmine, bergamot, sandalwood, cinnamon leaf, geranium, rosemary, ylang ylang. And then the only ingredients in each bottle besides the oil is water, polysorbate 20, fragrance (which assuming is the scents I described) and sodium benzoate. I don't know if that helps

Doesn't really help much because I don't know if anyone has don't sensitivity studies on any of that with bearded dragons :)
Its likely safe as long as your not spraying it on the dragon, enclosure, or food items.

I've been doing a lot of research on essential oils and pets lately. I haven't found much on reptiles, but what I have found really stresses the importance of using high quality oils from reputable sources. There is a vet, Dr Shelton, who has done extensive research on essential oils and animals. She has written a book that you can get on Amazon. Its called The Animal Desk Reference. She also has a website and sells some oils http://www.animaleo.info/. In general you should remember that animals are much more sensitive to oils than humans. Oils can really be beneficial for pets and people too!

I forgot to mention that I diffuse oils around my pets without problems. You should never diffuse tea tree oil around them though.

Okay thank you so much I will look into it, I've also seen people water down lavender oil and stuff and actually give it to them?! For their immune systems so I guess having it in the air in the room couldn't be to bad if their investing a small amount with other people.

You can actually add tiny amounts of essential oil to their bath water. Again, I'd use only high quality oils. And just dipping a toothpick into the oil and then into their bath is enough. For animals you don't ever want to put any oil one them undiluted.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
