escaped for two weeks outside now found but sick

My bearded dragon got away outside 2 weeks ago exactly and we found him today and hes been pooping alot and has his eyes closed most of the time and isnt moving that much... his beard is black and he has all the right temps and such in the tank... what is wrong??? what can i do?!

I would give him a warm bath and get him to the vet ASAP. It's hard to tell what he go into while he was out.

thats what i thought.. he was under the house in a boxed in area and he only had one exit where we found him... do you know what types of things he could get into in upstate ny?

I would worry about spiders and other such bugs, but I don't know specifically in New York. I would call the vet first thing in the AM and see if you can get an appointment set up. Keep us updated on how he does.

Well.. we made an appointment and it was today but sadly this morning and possibly last night waffle had died... :'( he was the best bearded dragon ever and im gonna miss him so much...

It was a miracle he survived for that long, it must be quite cold outside, and that you actually found him. I'm really sorry he passed away.

Thank you, he was really a great beardie... It really was amazing that we found him if u look in the tales forum u might be able to find the whole story about waffle. At least he isnt suffering anymore... He couldnt even walk without wobbling and falling on things
