Here's a video of my new-ish beardie Ender nomming some crickets. I already posted it in his intro thread, but I thought I'd post it here as well, because... it's just fun to watch a beardie eat things. My next goal is to catch him eating a blueberry, because he just ATTACKS them. <3

And a photo, too, to make this thread more visually interesting...

Okay seriously. You named your beardie Ender so you automatically get +10 to being awesome. Now your thread's name is Ender's Game. I officially award you another 1000 to awesomeness. I love that book even now at 24 lol

:D Thanks! I've been listening to the Ender series on audiobooks over the past month or so... and when I saw how amazing my new beardie was at eliminating all the buggers I put in his tank, the appropriate name became clear.

TOO BAD HE THINKS IT'S ALL A GAME. He's going to feel so bad (and hungry) when he completely rids them from the universe.

So I have a ceramic vase thing serving as a makeshift hidey hole for Ender, and I used some double-sided tape to attach some felt to it so he could walk/climb on it more easily. I guess Ender decided his hidey hole was not hidey enough, and somehow managed to insert himself behind the felt I'd put in the inside, like a little sleeping bag.

I also tried giving him a bath yesterday, but he wasn't having it at all. In stead he hopped right out and had a little beardierun, and when I tried again he climbed right up my sleeve and clung to my back for a while. I had to sit on the floor with my back to a chair to get him to climb off :|

What's your take on beardiebaths? How/how often do you guys do it?

Speaking of which, here are some photos of Ender having a bath and hanging out on my sleeve.

Splish. He's not very interesting when he has a bath. He mostly just sits there.

What a round pancake!

He's gotten much more okay with being picked up and held, and seems to enjoy sitting in my hand/hanging on my sleeve and looking around at things.

Ender's finally starting to shed his gross blue skin! I'm excited to see what his real color is.

Just starting--what a contrast.

Thanks! OMG he just gets peelier and peelier as the day goes on. Poor Ender. I'm glad I don't shed skin like that.

;__; He shed his back and sides, and now he's shedding his head. Poor beardie, he looks so miserable! The skin around his nostril is detached, but seems to still be connected INSIDE his nostril, and he doesn't want me to touch his face at all. I can't blame him, it must suck!

Also, he's a third. That would make anyone irritable.

(How did I miss this thread before?! Echoing that it's an awesome name. )

Shedding looks so uncomfortable. :( Poor thing.

That would suck :/ Hopefully the shed in his nostil will come out!

So I know you're not supposed to "help" when they're shedding, but I poked Ender's nose sheds earlier and they fell out. Supergross! I'm sure he feels better now without all that crud in his nose.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
