Enclosures on a budget

Aside from waiting around for the Petco deal, what are my choices? After measuring tip of tail to nose, I found our stunted rescue has grown quite a bit in our care and needs more room to turn around. I found a perfect enclosure cheap, but then I learned that screen is no good.

Have you tried Craigs List or other places where enclosures are posted? Even check the For Free area on this site. I've found great deals on Craig's List. Good luck.

Besides the "For Sale" section, the "Pets" section on Craigslist usually has quite a few enclosures as well. Good luck!

Thanks, guys, but I was looking more into the different types of enclosures. As I said, I saw a great deal, but it's all screen.

A 40 gallon breeder (criter cage) is a good size for a bearie, then there are 75 gallons and 120 gallon. I have 4 adult males in 40 gallon breeders, they're wider than regular 40 gallon aquarium tanks & have mesh lids on the top. That's the minimum size recommended for a beardie. Hope that helps. There are also front opening tanks and custom made, but they cost alot more. So except for the Petco sale, I don't know what else to recommend.

How about the wooden ones I've seen some people have?

Not sure about wooden ones, hopefully someone will answer you about those. I know you have to be really careful of temps when it's an enclosed tank. I use the 40 gallon breeders because I don't use the tops. But then I have adults, and their furniture is low enough that they can't jump out.
