i have noticed that the temperature in his basking spot has been getting up to 114F so im going first thing tomorrow morning and buying him a new bulb. right now his bulb is this https://www.petmountain.com/product/reptile-incandescent-bulbs/11442-501541/hagen-exo-terra-exo-terra-daylight-basking-spot-lamp.html
in 100 watt

i am now thinking of buying this one https://www.homedepot.com/p/Philips-45-Watt-Equivalent-PAR38-Halogen-Dimmable-Indoor-Outdoor-Floodlight-Light-Bulb-419424/203231669
in 45 watt because my room is always hot so going down in watts seems logical and im also buying a dimmer just in case.

so my question is, is that bulb okay, ive ready somewhere that it should be a bulb with 4000k but the one i want has 2900k. will that still be okay? oh and hes 3 years old so i want the temp to be 95-100F

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
