Enclosure suggestions

Recently my wife and I each purchased a female dragon. We both got females because we thought it would be easier to raise two females together.

Two questions.
1 Should we keep them together in the same enclosure?
2 if so what size would you recommend for that enclosure?

Sometimes two beardies in the same enclosure works but there is always a chance that one day one will attack.It would be good to house them seperately but you can house them in a 100 gallon or so tank. That also means you should always have two water sources,two veggie dishes, two hiding spots,etc. They will probably fight for dominance and the least dominant one will become stressed, its growth will be slowed and may die.Hope this helps some.

That is my worry. I was planning on a 4' x2' x30" enclosure. With multiple basking spots, and multiple hiding spots. They are small now and in a 40 together i guess we will see if they stay friends?

bearded dragons are naturally solitary animals. housing them together, they will stress, have lowered immune systems, lowered appetite, lowered absorption, slower growth, risk of tail/toe nips, fights, injury even death.

in females, the signs of dominations, bearding, arm waving, bobbing and fights are less common, this isn't to say we don't have people on the forum who come home to their beautiful darling sister beardies having killed the other, and the survivor brutally bashed.
