Enclosure placement

Do you think it's better to have their enclosure in the general living area of the house or are they better off in a room with less activity?
What with their being active and curious critters, seems like they might enjoy aural and visual stimulation. Have been thinking about relocating Rufus' enclosure to the living-room as I frequently find him schootched up close to the front of his viv looking down the hallway. It might be overwhelming at first but would he adjust and be able to be more calm when I try to visit with him in another part of the house? See what happens when you can't sleep??? Really stupid questions!

All of mine are in the living room. I used to keep Huff upstairs but then felt bad as he wasn't getting the attention or stimulation that the other 2 get. They all seem quite happy here- they can see what we are doing and get lots of attention!

Hi MissT!

Did Huff go through any relocation anxiety after you moved him?

Yes- for just over a week he didn't eat but he seemed happier and much more active as soon as we moved him down here. I didn't like that he didn't eat (he is a rescue and a little underweight) but he made up for it when he started eating again!!!

Ruf is pretty chunky so it probably wouldn't hurt if he lost a gram or two. Think I'll begin getting ready for the move. Thanks for the input!!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
