Hey,
I have some bearded dragon/enclosure questions that I would appreciate being answered
I’m thinking about getting a juvenile, just in case that info is needed for any of the answers.
Oki-dokey,
-First off with cage set up, how far away from the basking light should the basking site be? I keep hearing 6 inches.
-And I boiled some sticks and bark to put in the cage, but the bark is a bit ‘flakey’. It doesn’t do it much, but it does drop small dustings of bark. Would these be dangerous to my beardie?
-What is tail-rot and how do I prevent it?
-And my enclosure is situated right next to a window. It doesn’t get direct sunlight due to the extra veranda thing we have, but it does get sunlight early in the morning. It also gets cold at night here at the moment and the cage is next to a window that is always a crack open. Is this okay? Should I put backing boards on the glass or something?
-And what are some good foods to start a juvi on? I’ll be getting small crickets, and I know they don’t eat too many greens but what sort should I start off trying to tempt them with?
I think those are my main questions for now,
Thanks for reading
