Eggs?

Ok, im probably gong to sound really silly here.We have 2 wonderful healthy beardies, but they are NEVER together because they dont like each other
They are both around 2 yrs old.
And today while we were watchn one just after we did a huge clean out of the tank my beardy looked like it was doing a poo when all of a sudden a orange/yellow looking blob came out. Now i was told that my beardie was a boy and have seen his parts come out while giving it a bath, well i THOUGHT i saw its bits!
Could this have been an egg? have i got the sexes of my beardie mixed up and do they lay eggs without mating with a male?

Plz help, im a little worried, ive tried to read up but have havnt found anything.
I did see in this topic pics of good eggs and ones of infertile and it looks exactly like an infertile egg.
I know nothing of breeding and dont plan to breed but i just want to know if my beardie is ok and if this is normal or not.

Hope someone can help me!!!!

That actually looks like an off colored dried up urate.
I wonder, have you offered veggies that have a lot of carotene in them ?
Also, how often do you offer baths ?
I know someone else will come along with more advice.
When you sexed this dragon, were the two semi penal bulges clearly apparent ?
Could you give us a run down on your viv that "he" is in ? We'll need temps and how you measure, lighting, diet, calcium and vitamin intake daily,weekly...
Thanks a lot !
Janie.

Just to be on the safe side, lets talk infertile eggs. 1st it is common and not hard to handle. Start by giving the one who produced that a long WARM soak. If the dragon gets very restless and or starts to dig then it was an infertile egg. Put her in a box of sand/dirt and let her dig away. She will eventually lay and you can dispose of the infertile clutch by freezing and discarding.
Aloha.

We have our beardie out of tank atm, he/she is curled up asleep in a blanket, not restless at all but is when is in tank( i think he/she just wants out). Should i get a box ready tomorrow ( as its now 11pm). will he/she dig and produce eggs straight away if she is laying eggs? or does it take them a little while?. Geez now im a little stressed as what to do!

Sometimes they lay fast sometimes it takes days.
Keep in mind she may not be gravid at all, so 1st and formost relax. The soak and laybox are a just in case situation. Do the soak regardless, because if it is just a dried out urate, the soak will do worlds of good and cant hurt a thing. After the soak look for the restless behavior and digging. If you dont get that just keep an eye for a few days. Do it in the am. Good luck and keep us posted.
Alhoha, good night, and relax.

Thanks. I guess we get a little worried when something out of the ordinary happens. i will get a box ready just incase. I bath them just about everyday anyways so i will give him a warm bath tomorrow and see what happens. His poo has been normal and eating normal. Ill do the bath n just watch for a few days. Thanks alot!

Thanks everyone. I did get a lay box organized and put my Cameron in it. After a few days there was nothing so i returned her to back in her home. This morning when i went to change her food there she was on the floor under the basking lights laying eggs!. 7 in total, that i have just disgarded. So thanks everyone for advise. Cameron showed no signs of having eggs,no digging, and no lumps in belly that i could feel,im guessing because they were soft/unfertile?
Do i need to organize for her to mate ever? I dont particulally want babies, but is that unfare on my Cameron? Should u allow them to mate or is it entirely up to the owner?. How often would they lay unfertile eggs??? Guessing i now need to read up a little more about it.

Those deff look like slugs. I only had a female lay infertile eggs one season. SHe laid 2 clutches of them about 21 days apart. and never did it again. I am sure there are people on here with diff experiences. Make sure you let her eat all she wants and go a little heavy on the calcium and vitamins.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
