Egg laying behavior?

Hello All,
Rebel has been incredibly restless the past few days. She is about 8/9 months old now which I thought was too young for her to be laying eggs, nothing has really changed in her environment or in the room she is in. She is definitely constantly on the go the past few days compared to her normal incredibly relaxed self. I've never had a female before and all my beardie research has been based on males not females.

I have gone ahead and put a sand tray in her cage it's 50/50 sand and some organic fertilizer free soil. Anything else I should do? Could this be egg laying behavior or is there possibly something else going on? She's been eating fine, happy as always, but her past few bowel movements have been in smaller amounts than usual.

It may just be breading season, but I would prepare myself for it just in case. Along with being restless, a tell-tale sign is if the bearded dragon begins to greatly favor the cool side of their tank. If she is having a decreased appetite, then that means that she is close to laying her eggs. Have you been able to feel the eggs in her stomach, and has she had rapid weight gain the the past few weeks? 8-9 week is indeed quite early for a beardie, but it's not unheard of, especially if they grow quickly (and will therefore reach sexual maturity faster).
