Eating problems with beardie

This is extremely frustrating... My new baby dragon is extremely picky with how he eats and I need to know what I can do to fix it. I just got him 2 weeks ago btw. When I try to feed him I put him in my cricket cage so that he can just eat all that he likes without me having to throw them in his cage (since he has reptile carpet and the dumb crickets hide under it and it seriously makes me want to flip something across the room because of how annoying it is to get them out). But for some reason he never eats any of the crickets in there and instead he just sits there and after about 2 minutes he freaks out trying to escape. After that I will put him back in his cage and and throw in the crickets in there. They hide under the carpet btw so it's really annoying. But, it gets even more complicated and worse after that..... He will ONLY eat the crickets that are moving and that are within 4 inches away from him so I have to constantly lead the cricket to him and it takes SOOOOO LONG AND I HATE IT! He ends up eating only about 3 crickets daily because of this  and whenever I try to hand feed him he will stare at the cricket, sort of lick at it like he's going to eat it, but he never does and acts uninterested. This doesn't make any sense and I'm so annoyed and stressed about this. Why won't he just eat?!?!?! I know that he's hungry so why won't he eat!!!!! Please help me I want to know how to solve this seriously I'm desperate for solutions!!! Btw the heat in there is usually barely over 90 on the cool side and maybe 100 on the other side. Also I have UVA/UVB 10.0 light reptisun in his cage.

Hi there....it's frustrating but a common problem with some new babies. Try shaking about 5 crix up in a jar until they are slow + dizzy, then drop them near him. You can coat them with the calcium powder at the same time, just a small pinch in the jar.Sometimes the slow moving crix are irresistible. If he eats those, then repeat. By the way, your cool temp. should be lower, around 80. Being too hot can cause stress, even illness. Be sure he's well hydrated, too....you can dribble water on his snout with a spray bottle, eyedropper or feeding syringe to make sure he gets enough water.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
