Eating Less?

For the past week or two, Baldric has been eating less. He's 8 months old and 19 1/2 inches long. The temps are good, and I changed out the Reptisun 10 tube just in case, but it didn't make any difference. He's pooing regularly, so he's not impacted. Do bearded dragons' appetites decrease once they hit adult size?

He's also developed a pouch like thing under his chin, at the bottom of his neck. Is this normal? You can see it in my avatar.

The pouch is normal. If it has recently gotten colder where you are, he may be going through a slow down. They also eat a bit less as they get bigger - make sure you offer lots of greens though. Is he shedding by any chance? That can also slow down eating.

He finished shedding about a week or two ago, but the shedding was only on his head. The temps outdoors have been a little colder, but inside the house it's been averaging 72-73 degrees, about the same. Maybe it is because he's getting bigger. He has been more interested in his salad lately.
