So I have two bearded dragons. I've had one longer then the other, her name is Ozzy. She's about 8 inches long and has always been great to care for.
However about a week ago my girlfriend got me another bearded dragon, the two are from the same batch of eggs, only where Ozzy is 8 inches long, the new one, Biffy who is the same age~ is only 3 inches long.
At first I thought it was because the pet store didn't care for him properly but this past week I've noticed that he acts very strangely.
He wont eat. since I've had him he has eaten maybe 10 crickets. I know he eats meal worms because I saw him in the pet store, but I don't want him to become impacted. Only i'm running out of options, I put crickets in his tank everyday and he completely ignores them.
Another thing is he sits wherever I put him in the tank, without moving. He only basks when I put him in the basking spot. The only place he moves to on his own, is to the top of his fake tree to sleep. ALL DAY.
This isn't my only concern though... since I brought Biffy home Ozzy has also lost her appetite.
They haven't been in contact. They live in separate tanks.
Ozzy went from eating around 40 crickets a day, which already wasn't as much as i'd like to MAYBE eating 4-6 crickets a day.
I'll let you know what I've done the past few days just in case i'm the cause of this.
I got Biffy a week ago.
I set up a new tank.
Ozzy went about 3 days without UVB but has it now.
She has been moved to a larger tank.
I've been dusting crickets once a day.
I've done quiet a bit of re-arranging with the tanks in order to get the optimum temps and everything.
Thats about it really...
so yeah, lemme know if there's anything I can do to get their appetites up again, please.
