Hi all, pic of my beardy is included. He is about 4 months or so old now. We have had him about 2 months and have made a lot of changes to his setup and care. Just some background info: We have a t5 reptisun 5.0 bulb (I know 10.0 is better!) and a 2nd uvb bulb inside the dome as well until we get a 10.0 bulb instead. They both sat on top of the screen until recently when I cracked open the top so the T5 could shine directly into the tank (within the last 2 weeks). He gets calcium without D3 once a day and calcium WITH D3 once a week. He eats 2-3 times a day, between 55-70 crickets per day! He has shed two times in the 2 months we have had him, and is about to shed AGAIN! He basks almost all day, in a 40 gallon tank with a 100 watt basking bulb. Temps in the basking spot are around 104ish (depends), and cooler side can be between 80 and 90 during the day. Tank temps at night do not go below 65-70 on the cool side. We use no lights at night but have a very small heat pad on the under side of the tank just for a slight temp raise. (CHE is not an option at this time and the pad seems to be perfect for our cooler temps!) Um what else.. oh he gets a soak in warm water typically nightly but this past week it was only three times total due to my schedule. He eats 2 small bowls of greens daily and has what I imagine to be regular poops! Normal amount of urates, sometimes lots of liquid with it, and i havent seen any undisgested food yet. He appears overall healthy to me but I have a slight concern with his dropping eyelids (began in the last month) and his jawline appears slightly open. I know that was too much info for my question but you never know what advice ya can get!
Pay close attention to his eyes and the back of his jaw. I'm sure I'm over reacting and I know droopy eyes can be genetic but it could also signal kidney issues and other issues. So any advice? Thanks!!!
#1 taken bout 2 weeks after we got him.. (during shedding)
#2, #3 1.2 months approximately after we got him.
#4 Just a week or so ago. a little over 2 months since we got him. He had just shed.
#5- tonight! 1st time snuggling!
