dusting crickets

Ok, now this might be a stupid question but here it is. I keep seeing people talk about dusting their crickets with calcuim. I usually just sprinkle calcium over his Kale. Should I also be doing that to her crickets? If so how do I do that? And how often?

I think this question depends on the dragons age. baby dragons eat 80-90% live food, So dusting their feeders makes more sense then dusting their salad. However adult dragons reverse those numbers and eat 80-90% veg and 10-20% live. So dusting their salad would make more sense.

At this time I am only dusting feeders because my dragon hasn't taken well to any veg. Hopefully in time he will.

She is about 10 months old, so how would I dust her feeder. I feed her in a seperate aquarium from where she lives.

The normal standard of care is to dust their feeders. I use a calcium supplement that has a very find grind and it sticks to feeders very well. Cheryl from beardeddragon.co has some excellent calcium powders and I think they are worth ordering. Her prices are ridiculoulsy cheap.

I shake the crickets from their bins into a bag, add some powder and shake the bag, and then transfer the crickets from the bag into their vivs.

Some people feed in a separate enclosure, and also some have purchased neat-o special cricket containers that you can shake calcium in and the extra calcium power falls through a filter so you can re-use it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
