Dubia Roaches

so I normally feed my beardie crickets but last week i was on vacation and my pet sitter didn't want to mess with them. I bought 500 mealworms (i know, i know, they aren't the best but they were for a week) and went on a much needed vacation. when we got back, i realized that i forgot to feed the crickets before i left and now they are all dead. I am thinking about trying dubias. what do i need to do to prepare for them, how do I store them, how many do i order (and what size) for a month, and how many do i feed them to her at a time? Thank you!

They're way easier and will do just fine if you leave them for a while. Mine eat leftover salads and veg scraps for the most part. They'll take out extra bread and bananas that are starting to go south as well. They're pretty good little composters and don't require a whole lot of fuss. You can set them up in a big rubbermaid bin. Cut a big hole in the top and tape/glue some mesh over the hole (most of the top) and then put some cardboard tube in for housing and drop veg scraps in for food. That should be pretty much it.
