I saw one like that within the last week, but she didn't have as much white stuff sticking out. I found her dead last night.

It couldn't have been smashed, because I haven't even touched the egg cartons for two months.

Did you leave rotten veggies and fruits in the bin? I suspect it may be the cause. I remove the any uneaten veggies and fruits the next day if they didn't finish them. I think the decaying veggies and fruits may contain some flies eggs which will eat the roaches from the inside out. However I've never seen anything like this.

Well this female still looks the same and still alive. I am going to see if high humidity will get her well again. She defiantly was not smashed, she was in her own container for my research product.

There was no produce in with her at the time and I never have any fly problems. There is no way a roach could eat fly eggs or larva hole and have them hatch out inside them! Evey if they could the roaches digestive system would kill them very quickly.

All three times it's been adult females. I suspect something with the reproductive system went wrong, blocking the waste from exiting and eventually killing her. If yours is like the other two, she'll die in a few days.

Well it has been 5 days and this female is still alive and alert. She still runs all over the place when I open up her container, and still has the "hemorrhoid"!
