I don't know how your gonna cover all that stuff, but when your done, you'll be the definitive authority on Dubia.

Whoa, I was only suggesting one of them if Brian was interested in any of them. Of course if he wants to do more, more power to him. Regarding #2, Suzuki4Life did an experiment to see if they would reproduce at something like 68F and was going to try lower temps this year. I don't remember seeing anything about the upper limit.

I will be working with temperatures also, just trying to get the control group going good first! I can tell you something that I found out yesterday though. I picked up this new colony from a local seller today before work yesterday (101 adult female 52 adult male and 600 to 800 nymphs). They sat in my car all day while I was at work. When I got off it was 12am. and 55 degrees, 58 inside my car and the colony bin! Once I got home I was separating the adults and nymphs to see what I had and all of them where completely active! Found one pair in the act of mating and an other female with an egg sack! All at 58 degrees Fahrenheit! None dead at all.

Tagging along as well. I'm very interested in clutch sizes as well as times for how long and how frequent clutches are produced.

So there was something I have never seen before tonight. I opened up one of the bins with my research females and found a dropped near term egg sack. I can almost make out the nymphs in the eggs. And the female had what looked like a cooked chicken egg yolk hanging out of her vent!

First off I stuck the egg sack (since it was very recently dropped and still moist) in a small tupperware container that at close to 100% humidity and 90 degrees. I plan to see I there is a way to save dropped eggs, at least very near mature ones.
