Dubia Deal of the Day!

About 2 months ago I started a dubia colony for my beardies, I knew I was having babies, but I felt it was taking too long. Anyway today I was looking through craigslist and I saw a dubia breeder selling roaches. So I went over and he sold me 2,000 roaches for $40. Is this a good deal? Also is this too many roaches for 3 beardies?

I live in Colorado, Springs and he has about 8,000 more but I'm not sure if hes willing to ship or sell.
