Ok So I'm one of those sissies that can't do the roach thing, it's just creeping me out thinking about it.... But at the same time I felt the same way about crickets when I first got my Beardie.... so Here's what I'm looking for I don't want to go out and spend 50.00 on roaches and find out I can't hack it at all and can't even begin to attempt to come over a fear.... So What I'm looking for is someone locally that has a couple i could maybe play around with for a little bit or possible buy a couple off for cheap... Any help will be amazing For any curious I am in northern Ohio Thanks so much

Also in the mean time while breeding my crickets I seem to be getting quite a bit of moisture in my tubs would using an old 20g long tank work to breed with and also kind of help the smell?

for what its worth tho, you dont have to spend 50 bucks to try em out, you can get small orders for like 15 bucks, or try talkin to one of the guys sellin em they might be able to go smaller

Well only thing is going smaller than 15 the shipping will prolly be close to as much as the roaches themselves and actually my gf lives in BG/toledo area and am usually out that way once or twice a week....

our cat knocked over the bin once and i had no choice but to run in and start man handling them, throwin em all back in the bin before they got away. since then ive been fine touchin em. i dont like it, but its not that big of a deal anymore. just gotta dive in and go for broke.

I agree with Ian! They don't bite and aren't poisonous so I don't understand where the fear is coming from. You pick up your beardie all the time, right? It's no different, just a few more legs. Just stick your hand in and grab one!

Incidentally, I finally have some baby Dubias scurrying around the bin! It took about 7 weeks from the ones you sent me, Ian, to seeing babies. I think it would have been sooner if it weren't for a cold snap we had that lowered the temp in the bin a few degrees. In any case many thanks man! Between those and the Turks I should be set for a while, or forever I hope.
