Dry yellowy patch on back leg joint! HELP!

I recently noticed this spot on my beloved baby dragon! I got her about 15 or so days ago and she is loving her home. She is eating, she has a spoiled setup, everything she could possibly want.

It is dry and almost hard kind of, I don't know exactly how to explain it.

In this picture, she just got out of her bath so it is kinda shiny looking but the injury is not normally shiny like that.

I love my dragon so much, please let me know what you think it is or what it could be from ASAP! Thank you all very much, this community has helped me with so much for my dragon so far!

Anthony, wait until it's totally dry, then post a good close up just like that, also one from the top. It may just be unshed skin or may be fungal. Don't pull at it or anything though.

I already put some neosporin on it as I read to do online, should I send a picture of it with it on or should I wait a bit for it to dry in before I post one?

No, Neosporin isn't necessary at all. If it's wet/shiny it will be harder to tell what it is....it needs to be dry.

I gave her another bath to remove the neosporin, and then dried her as much as I could. My phone's camera was having trouble focusing to my liking, but this is what I managed to capture at the moment. If needed I can try to get another picture later if this isn't good enough.

It's too gooey to really get an accurate view of it. Once you've let that dry off it will be more easy to tell what it is. The best case scenario it's unshed skin, but it could be something more.

I agree with AHBD in that it could be unshed skin or it could be fungal but it's tough to tell while the area is wet/slick looking.

This seems to be as dry as it will get...

It looks like Yellow fungus possibly. Get some Lamisil cream [ in drug stores ] to put on it. No mre Neosporin, just the antifungal cream. That can help it clear up some.

Alright, I will have some picked up for me today. How bad is that and is it fatal?

Sometimes, but you might have good results if treated early. Don't bathe him, water can spread it. Give him water on his snout with an eyedropper for a drink. Others may have suggestions as well.

I agree with the lamisil and topical treatments. If you bring him to a vet they can take a sample of the area and verify if it's yellow fungus or not. They may also prescribe an antifungal medication such as Voriconazole which has been effective in treating YF which is a serious condition.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
