I bought some dry food for my bearded dragon called rep-cal juvenile bearded dragon food. What are your thoughts on this food or similar types.

They had this food in the bearded dragon cage at the pet store so i decided to get some and see if my beardie likes it or not.

It won't subsitute live feeders but it's probably an okay thing to add to salads or put in a separate dish. From my experience, though, pellet food isn't really going to be their favorite thing.

If your dragon doesn't like them, you can crush/grind the pellets and feed them to your crickets. At least then he'll get the nutrients from them in a roundabout kind of way.

This is what I ended up doing with mine, except the Dubia ate it. Makes a nice fruity smelling addition to the ground up fish flakes and puppy chow.

All 3 of mine have a bowl of them in their vivs. They munch on it sometimes. I still give fresh salad everyday, and proteins....but keep that food in with them all the time, and change it out and give them fresh pellets when needed.

My bearded dragon likes a certen kind of pellet food and wont eat others, but his main food is crickets.

I've never used any of the commercial for my reptiles, except good brand of turtle food for my aquatic turtles. I don't think it's necessary, but it couldn't hurt to add it to salad once in a while. Be sure to moisten it with a little water or fruit juice before feeding it to your bearded. The dry pellets can dehydrate your dragon when the gut pulls out water to digest them.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
