Yesterday we adopted 2 bearded dragons for my sons birthday. All along up to his birthday he said it was a lepeord gecko he wanted. His sister on her birthday wanted (and got) a Crested Eyelash gecko. (also a rescue), we had been in and out of the local reptile store and he had fallen in love with a certain gecko. It is I who really wanted a Bearded Dragon (mom). When it came time to go in and put the deposit down we came across a pair of older (4to 5 years old as a guess) pair of bearded dragons just brought in. Both were underweight but otherwise healthy. One male and one female, they were handed in since the previous owner could no longer take care of them. All I had to do is hold them and of course I fell in love. The owner of the store offered them at adoptions price of two for one since he wanted them to stay together as they had been together since babies. My son announced that he wished to have them for his birthday and mom can have the girl!!! I was so excited. How cool is that. We went out and bought all the required items and an awesome used tank set up and picked them up.They have been with us now for 2 nights and 3 days!!! They are amazing. Very friendly and interactive. Fall asleep on us while we are watching tv. I have learned alot from your forum here and are looking forward to spending time (and posting) here. Thank you to all of you who have helped us already and to those who will get us through some of our "newbie" questions.

Hello :) I would really really incurage you to separate them. Beardies dont usually do well together. I have read many stories of beardies being killed and it may look like they are friends but things can easily turn bad. I would get two 40 gallon breeder tanks and separate them.

Awwww, sweet story! I agree, they should be separated. It decreases the possibility of fighting. Even if they don't fight now, it doesn't mean they won't ever. Best of luck with your new bearded dragons! :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
