So i've been curious and too lazy to use the "google search" on here to be honest, anyways I was wondering where would be a good place to look for driftwood not buy it? I live in California by the way so im talking about around that area, I went quading a couple weeks ago and I saw the perfect piece but had no way of bringing it back to our truck:/ Im not really looking for driftwood like the typical kind you see at petco or petsmart im talking about thick iguana type branches where your beardie wont have to worry about falling off if they wana switch their body around.Well appreciate it if anyone had suggestions....or secrets even!!!

If I had to buy it anyone know a site that sells them at a reasonable price?

I don't know what your landscape is like but I like to find a creek that is in a very heavily wooded area and get driftwood that has been washed down stream. I've found some very nice big pieces this way.
You can check ebay for sales, what I seen is usually pretty cheap but I expect shipping to be high.

I got a great piece of Driftwood when I was in KY visiting friends. I picked it up from the Ohio River and brought it back to Florida in my suitcase :p

Lol, I wouldn't trust driftwood from the Ohio. I was told I would need a nuclear deactivator to get it clean.

Brian look for wood at the lakes near you. Just makes sure you soak it well and bake it before using in your viv.

I've gathered wood from nearby rivers and lakes here in California but I'm Central Cali.

You might beable to find some at Big Bear. I don't think I'd trust wood from Pyramid Lake though.

The beaches by me arent picture perfect like they potray them to be but those are the ones by me(4 beaches), the best beach I been to would be the one in orgeon I know they have driftwood there but I cant see me going there again for a long time.

Lake pyramid might be a good choice too it's been awhile since I been there and I go to Big Bear more then anywhere so i'll take a look around there next time.I was looking for more of something like this though.....

I like the look of it and how big and wide it is, they have some over her at an exotic pet shop like 5 miles away from my house but they sell them $200+ and I dont have the money to spend that much for a simple piece of wood! :angry5: and by the looks of that iguana I think that's at Galapagos Island...

I'll check out ebay havent tried their yet but minus well since Craigslist keeps letting me down!

Thanks for the suggestions!!!

Beardedwizard (Anthony), one of our members, sells driftwood as well as beardies. His site is annapolisbeardeddragon.com and he has various prices, which are reasonable. Hope this helps! :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
