He's Cute! he seems curious, like he wants to check everything out. I suggest staying away from any loose substrate like sand. How wide is his home? It looks like you may have a 12" wide fish tank. If so, that's o.k. for now but you really need something wider as he gets longer.

Yes I think it is probably 12 inches, and I am already looking into larger options. I'm looking at the Exo Terra terrariums, and there are options with the large ones between 18 inches height or 12. What do you think would be best?

Definitely have no interest in dealing with sand because of the health risk. Currently using either that brown paper that is in the video or paper towels.

We have tile down, then on top of that non-adhesive shelf liner and paper towels. We have the paper towels down because on the off chance that one of our girls poop on it, it's easier to clean up.

Some suggest making your own home for them, 2ft X 2ft X 4 ft. There are directions in the 'diy' discussion forum. It's about how to make your own home for them. I don't have one of them because we really don't have room for it and we want them to be able to see outside while still in their homes.

He's really adorable! Don't forget to keep putting more pics in as he grows. There is a thread titled "beardies fall asleep every which way, want pics". I'm sure you will get some really good shots as he sleeps over time. Pics are a requirement.
