Dragons eye keeps closing?

I was giving him a bath yesterday and I got some water in his eye, now he keeps closing just the eye I got the water in...I thought at first he was just a bit irritated, but he keeps doing it...he opens it back up when there's commotion, but he has it closed a lot while basking is there something wrong?

I use a Zoomed t5 with a 5.0 UVB light and a 100 watt basking bulb. His basking temps are usually around 95-100. Which I feel is to cold but I have a new bulb coming in the mail to replace the crappy one I got with my kit.

Edit: He also doesn't move from his basking spot at all... he's alert, but he's not very active. I just brought him home on Monday though so I thought maybe he needs time to adjust.

As long as it's a bright white and keeps temps it's fine-- what did you order?

So the 5.0 is equivalent to a T 8-- you want it inside your tank approx 6-8 inches from basking decor directly over him-- when you change that bulb out in 6 months I recommend you get the 10.0 bulb then raise your fixture to 12-15 inches-- you may have dried his eye out but he also may just be relaxing they often close one eye when basking mine do it-

This is how I have the lights positioned he's probably 5-7 inches below the heat lamp and 8-10 inches from the UVB light. I'm thinking of getting him a hammock so he can get a little closer the the light.

Ok those basking lights are fine and since you have the 5.0 bulb he needs to be at that 6-8 inches-- it is in the tank correct- ? Is that thrive basking bulb giving off a yellowish hue? From the pic it looks like it is unless it's the screen doing that

Ok you want your basking bulb bright white so the ones you have coming are good- just make sure you get a accurate basking temp when you change it out- the UVB should be good-- watch what the eye does after you change the bulb out--- they will bask w/ one eye closed that is normal but it's good to have the bright white bulbs

Thanks for the help! also he seems to be moving around a bit more now. The bulbs i ordered are coming tonight and I also have 2 digital probe thermometers coming with them, so i should get more accurate readings than with my temp gun

Depends on the material basking decor is made out of - it can throw temps guns off so it's good to have the probe as well--

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
