Dragon Vs Ninja

I posted some intro pics here. But, I just wanted to share a little story with you. A couple weeks after we got Saffron, we had her out, determined to get her used to being held and calm. Well, she was just as determined to prove us incapable. :banghead: She was hanging out on my husband for a good 20 minutes. Then she took a very slow step towards his shoulder. A few seconds later, another one - this time looking around. One more step, looks right at me to the right, and goes flying off Husband's shoulder. Well, leave it to the Siamese,Ninja, to think this is THE most exciting thing to happen to him ever. He starts chasing her, I start chasing him, he runs away from me (stepping on Saffron in the process I might add). Ninja being successfully derailed, I then go chasing after Saffron. I chase her into a corner at the exact same time Ninja realizes his new game is still gong on, and he bolts in after me. I scruff my 15 lb Snow-show Siamese (on a cat note, if you're looking to get a dainty small siamese cat, do NOT get a snowshoe. Turns out the white foot gene makes them prone to being HUGE), and remove him, then come back and get Saffron.
Now she's perfectly content to just sit on me and chill, and even has the nerve to tilt her head up at me and give me a "What?" look. Not wanting to risk it, I place her back in her viv. For the following 15 minutes my Siamese went over every INCH of the corner (twice) where I'd picked her up, and then spent half an hour doing a thorough inspection of the living room, positive the new moving toy was still out there. At one point he found a piece of packing tape with some thing cardboard on it and thought it was her, so he stalked around it for a while before pouncing and, having met his predatory instincts for the night, came to snuggle in my lap.
Perhaps it was more amusing being there, but it was definitely a fun little time.

Anyone one else have any funny stories of your beards and furry animal interaction?

Oh wow that's hilarious!
We have two cats, Odie the reallly fat scaredy cat and Garfield who's not quite as big and is..um more of a predator I guess lol I would NOT want that cat around my beardies.
Here's Odie checking out Daisy:

This cat is so scared of my beardies it's ridiculous :p

The closest call we've had was actually yesterday when my bf left the bedroom door open when we went upstairs and when we came back down, Garfield was sitting next to the 2 tanks (with no lids!!) with the 13 hatchlings running around!!!! We freaked out and had to do a quick beardie count...all accounted for though :) lol

I love that picture! Daisy seems to be showing Odie that she's orange too!!! LoL.

I had a similar experience with my leo and a different cat I had years ago. Came home to find that my leo's screen was crooked (not knocked off). Turns out, her cat had fished my leo out of her content little desert home and then MY cat (I know he didn't do the fishing because he'd NEVER been interested in the leo. Zoe, on the other hand thought it was Kitty HBO) trapped Uber in a corner and kept a paw on her until I realized what he was doing. When I came over, he lifted his paw, claws detracted, thankfully, and there my leo was! I was so thankful for him. Zoe is quite the hunter and would have killed the leo, likely.

On another note, keeping cats away from the heat lights is IMPOSSIBLE. And the result for me? Once a day or so I have to pull a 3" hair out of Saffrons mouth. :banghead:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
