Dragon education at high school!! ;)

I'm 17 and I'm a junior in highschool. I'm currently taking college classes(dual credit) and one of my upper level classes I'm taking is zoology. We just finished class reptilia and my instructor is allowing me to bring spike my beardie... I plan on bringing crickets so my class can watch her eat. I've very excited. It works out good becuase it's a small class, only six ppl. I'm very excited to share her with my class. Is there anything I should cover when I talk bout her??

That's really cool. My wife is a pre-k teacher and last week the school allowed me to do a presentation to the entire elementary school on beardies. I demonstrated feeding, proper housing and answered questions. The part all the kids loved most was seeing bevo on his leash walking chasing crix around the gym floor. We set a few loose and let him chase them down within the length of his leash lol. It's a lot of fun showing them off. Good luck on your presentation.

I hope your Beardie eats! Mine have a tendency to get shy whenever they're in a new environment.

On a side note, way to go taking college courses at 17! Ahh, the things I would've done differently. :wink:

I'm about to go back to college for pre-med requisites, so I've already been hoping I can do something similar when I have to take vertebrate zoology!

I bring Lilly into my classes some times. She is always EXHAUSTED afterwards, but enjoys the attention. She is supposed to go into my new class with me (10 EH children, so it should be interesting) sometime this week.

I plan to become a veterinarian... So I'll have a lot of college classes ahead of me....
Yeah my friends come over and watch her eat and she doesn't seem to care. I hope everything goes well. It'd be a real mess if she decided to take a poop lol. I'm taking her in a plastic tub.

I keep her on a blanket most of the time just in case. I also have a spare blanket and a plastic bag.
