Dragon Beets

So here is my brief story. Every year I plant a garden and every year I plant red beets for my Gram. Gram passed away this year before her red beets were ready. I hate red beets. So...has anyone ever fed them to there beardie? I was actually just thinking of using the leafy part of the beet, but could use all of it. Are beets safe for beardies?

I was actually looking it up for you just as tom was posting that so i'm going to tell you anyways haha. As far as beet greens it says to feed them rarely as they are high in oxalates and vitamin a. As far as the beets themselves it also says to feed them rarely. So maybe give them out as an occassional snack but not too often as they will be detrimental to your beardie.

In the beautiful dragons food list, it is questionable. So unless you offer once or twice a month, don't bother. I never use questionable items, just don't want to take the chance !

Thanks for all the quick replies! LOL I think I may just avoid the beets, maybe someone at my office will eat them. I think they're gross so scorch probably will too. LOL
