I moved the uvb lamp so it wouldn't fall off when I took off the screen cover, but a fly zoomed over to it and died in the cage. I tried to get it, but my dragon got to it first. I had his mouth open and I could see the fly on the side of his tongue. I tried to rinse it out but I think I only got half out.
He's only three months old, still a tiny thing. The fly wasn't a house fly, it was one of those small black dots that whiz around. There aren't a lot of fireflies in my area.
He's doing fine now, he seems normal, except now he flattens his stomach when he basks, or maybe he's always done that.
From what I know, flies themselves are okay, but I feel like he just ate out of the toilet.
